2024 - 2025 Regional Officer Nomination Form

The hard deadline for Regional Officer applications is January 20th, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
The Application Form can be found HERE.

  • Any submissions submitted after this deadline will not be considered
  • Candidates may only run for one officer position & submit this form once
  • Responses to this form cannot be edited once submitted & your answers to the two long responses will be shared with the region through social media platforms & at the opening ceremony
  • Emails with more details about the candidacy process will be set out around January 23rd. Be on the lookout for it

General Information


Positions Available with the Duties:
 
  • President: It is the duty of my office to preside at all regular and special meetings of this organization and to promote cooperation in carrying out the activities and work of our organization.
  • Vice President: It is the duty of my office to see that we always have a strong membership, a good work program, and are alert to the welfare of our association.
  • Secretary: It is the duty of my office to see that accurate and proper records are kept of all business and correspondence of this organization.
  • Treasurer: It is the duty of my office to keep accurate records of all funds and see that our financial obligations are met promptly.
  • Reporter: It is my duty to see that our school community and national association have a complete report of our organization’s activities.
  • Sergeant at Arms: It is my responsibility to see that the assembly is comfortable and properly welcomed. It is also my duty to serve as doorkeeper for this organization.
 
 
Eligibility for Running for an Officer Position:
  • Cannot currently be a senior
  • Open to any active members 
  • Are not required to have held previous chapter and/or regional leadership positions
Candidate Speeches
  • Will happen on Friday, January 26th @ Coppell High School during the Region 11 Opening Ceremony
  • Each speech will last for no more than 45 seconds
 
Voting Procedures
  • Saturday, January 27th at TBD
  • Each school will appoint two voting delegates who will cast the votes for the chapter (the voting delegates are expected to discuss their decisions with their chapter’s members prior to voting)
  • The voting delegates are usually the chapter president and vice president but this is not a requirement
 
Results & Induction Ceremony
  • Results will be announced the Region 11 Closing Ceremony on Saturday, January 27th, and elected candidates will participate in a brief induction ceremony
